Home of Production
When pioneers in studio placemaking launched a masterplan for a next-generation film studio, they needed a blueprint to map their story and experiences to demonstrate their values.
Their Story
Katya Baker, an experienced producer and placemaker, had a burning ambition to re-invent global film studios; designing them around the human needs of a production. Alongside real estate developer VERB, they set about creating a masterplan for the ‘Next generation of film studios'. To push the consultation process forward as well as attract potential productions to the site they needed a brand, placemaking strategy and business blueprint to show their disruptive thinking.
Discover & Define
To help her synthesise and sell her vision, I worked with Katya closely, interviewing and journey mapping an engagement, onboarding, servicing and offboarding experience for the likes of Amazon and Netflix production teams. Having formalised her vision and the stages of a production, we mapped physical, digital, personal and PR touchpoints on which to design our website, communications and digital experiences against.
Develop & Deliver
From this insight, I developed a service blueprint built on human values and needs. This formed the foundations of a placemaking strategy, b2c content framework and a comprehensive website which I designed to onboard global tenants to site. The website highlighted the values of work, life, sustainability and inclusivity and showed how these values were threaded throughout the masterplan, facilities and services. The pages could be viewed at a glance or in detail and are designed to grow with the business.
